Hi, i want to start investing in the stock markets, but i do not know how to start.?

Don’t think that you can beat the market, or even approximate the overall market, especially as a novice. The best advice? Put your money into the lowest expense ratioed index fund that you can find, and let it sit there for years and years. Buying and selling ends up eating away a lot of your profits, with basic trading expenses, and taxes.
I think that Vanguard offers an index fund of the S&P 500 with an expense ratio of around .16. This means that if the S&P returns 10% on average (which it has, historically), you will earn slightly less than 10% per year on your investment. If you want to invest overseas, the same thing goes: find an index fund. But do your research first, and anything you do, plan on keeping the shares for at least a year, but hopefully for more like 25 years.
If you plan on buying/selling more rapidly than I am advising, then have preset limits beyond which you will buy or sell (as in, a share drops 20%, you sell to limit your losses: a stock gains 20%, you sell to make sure you keep your profit). This will prevent you from trying to time the market, which is a pipe dream and random luck: you might as well take $1,000 and put it on a hand of blackjack, and see what happens.
But the best advice is to stick with index funds, as this will save you from wasting time, energy, and stress on trying to pick “hot” stocks. It will also likely give you the best long term gains.

Need some advice for the flight from Toronto to New York?
I need some advice for my trip (by car) from Toronto to New York. This is the first time I the United States, so I do not know the roads, so if someone knows tips let me know I will enjoy. let me assure you that this is not a hard drive. Go to Google Maps and get directions will be perfect (to The night before you go because they adapt to traffic and diversions.). Do not mapquest. Where to go? Driving from Toronto, somewhere in America?
Hello, me and my friend will take a weekend (November of 6-9/2009) and go somewhere fairly similar in countries … New York, Boston … something, but do not know where. We do not want to be driving 24 hours, but no unit Long Term Care. We thought to leave Friday morning and stay until Monday morning. Any ideas on where to go? New York vs. Boston? I no more to do in New York, after Boston, but again, we have only two days so it does not really need much. I am 20 so I can not drink in countries or so that does not include the kind of clubs. Hes great in the sport for what he thought of a sort of sporting event, but in reality told me and what we can do what I want. Anyway, ideas? Best places to go? Let me know!

How do I know if someone has actually graduated from the University of Toronto?
How could I be able whether someone has actually graduated University of Toronto, or not? I tried to search the alumni directory, but it does not work and when I tried to call once thats said private and confidential, then, what can I do, I want to know if this person is actually a graduate of the University of Toronto (U of T), helpppppppppp please please ok thank you no answers rough "Y" I want my child graduated in reality or not. I think not, but thats not what I'm concerned, what bothers me is he lied to me (if indeed does) that I really have no problem if you do not have a diploma as being honest with me. I tried to ask him once, but in reality he was running, so I just want the truth.
The University has a degree verification service, but from what I know, this service is only open to employers (HR departments) who are looking to hire UofT graduate and you want to check the backgrounds of candidates. What can I do for teenagers in hospital at Christmas?
I wanted something fun and entertaining for teens particularly in the hospital this Christmas. I thought of a dance, because I saw a Toronto hospital had. It might be too complex. Have you any idea?
What exactly is the problem? or is it only in general, older patients? perhaps show a funny movie? or could put a small theater or something then. or you could even do a dance. I do not think they will mind if the people of Toronto did also. or perhaps try to think of something that might participate? even those who can not do something (such as standing up or speaking). if you feel well, there nothing worse than being trapped in a hospital. shows and movies are good, but will most likely be grateful if you find something you can do to divert attention from the repetition of the hospital.
