What Fashions Are there for Public High School Boys?
1. What Fashions Are there for Public High School Boys? I’m just curious on what people think, and their opinions/ideas.
2. I wear boot cut Old Navy jeans with a leather belt, Underarmour shirts, and a t-shirt over it, or some kind of jacket/sweat/shirt combination. For shoes I have construction boots. I wear an old Omega watch and a thin green string necklace with a small crystal on the center. Is there a style for this? If not, what would it be called?
To be honest…just be yourself. Don’t try to change what you’re comfortable with just to fit in. Back when I was in high school, we wore whatever we wanted and no one cared.

Braided rugs are with us since the white men landed in the Americas. It is a tradition which we love to retain with all its old charm and grace. It is obvious that it does not require any high technology or computer controlled precision, otherwise how could the ladies hundreds of years ago make such exotic braided rugs out of rags. But what it requires is concentration, dedication and above all love and respect towards both the craft and the product.
So, if you really love braided rugs and admire their intricate artistry, let’s not waste any more time and get cracking with the job at hand.
How To Make A Braided Rug
Let’s go about making a braided rug from rags the way they were made in the early stages of colonization of the Americas.
Cut the material you have with you into roughly two inch wide strips. If you feel that the material is on the thinner side, make the strips about three inches wide.
Instead of sewing the strips together and rolling them into a ball before you start braiding, I would suggest you to begin braiding and sewing the material as you progress. I have found that in this way there are lesser number of tangles and knots which become a big hassle and take ages to unravel.
Tie the strips together and loop them over a doorknob or a handle or a hook of some sort and start making a three strip braid just in the same way as those who have long hair braid it. While joining the strips take care that there are no weak joints as they might spoil the whole show. The best way to join the strips is to hold them at right angles and sew a diagonal seam across the square so formed.
Another important point to note is when you start braiding fold the ragged outside edges of the strips slightly inwards so that there are no rough and jagged edges of cloth on the outer side of the rug you are going to make.
The first length of braid determines the final shape of the rug because the subsequent braids will only be laid one after another along the lines of the first braid. So, ensure that the length of the braid is adequate for the final rug size and shape you would get. The ground rule is that the first braid should be 1/3rd of the original rug size if it is to be an oval rug, and, it should be about half the original size if you are intending to make a runner.
The last and most intricate step is to be finished now. Take a large darning needle and pass the lace string you are using to sew the strips together back and forth between the braids much the same way as you put shoe laces through the eyes of the shoe. When you reach the desired length of the braid just flip it back and start sewing it with the lower strata of the braid. In this way you keep adding on and on to the previous braid and the rug grows outwards in size.
Keep the rug absolutely flat as you proceed and strictly avoid any wrinkles or dimples which may occur at this stage. Don’t ignore it as it would become more pronounced as you keep on braiding. So, if you observe a wrinkle, come back, smoothen it and then proceed further.
Carry on in this manner till the desired size is reached and then sit back and admire your handiwork!

Although the title specifies running shoes, I’m writing this with all types of athletic shoes in mind: tennis shoes, walking shoes, sneakers, aerobics shoes, basketball shoes, etc. The principle is generally the same. For brevity, lets just refer to them for the most part as running shoes.
We all understand that running shoes have a limited lifespan. Most people, however, continue to wear them well after their useful life has ended. Most commonly in my office I’ll have people tell me that their shoes are three years old BUT (insert excuse here…). Some of my favorites, it fits my feet perfectly (meaning it’s broken down), the heel is worn out just how I like it (meaning it has a hole inside the shoe), new shoes just bother me (meaning that I’ve worn these for so long, the support is too different at this point), and my favorite: They still look new.
Yes, they still look new. When all you do is run on the treadmill, use the elliptical, and some stationary bike, and your shoes never see the light of day, of course they look new. What’s problematic is the part you don’t see.
The support and function of a running shoe has little or nothing to do with the overall appearance of the upper part of the shoe or even the sole. It’s the midsole, the portion of the sole that is largely invisible from the outside, that has the most function and limits the useful lifetime of a shoe. With every stride, the midsole compresses and, with time, loses the majority of its support. For runners, I estimate the useful lifetime of a running shoe at approximately 350 miles. This amount may be slightly shorter for heavier runners and slightly longer for lighter ones. For those who really don’t run regularly, or partcipate in other sports and activities that can’t me measured by mileage, your shoes should be replaced every 4-6 months, depending on the frequency and level of the activity.
So start keeping track of the life of your shoes. Dedicate a pair of shoes (or more) exclusively for exercise to get the most out of its useful life. You can record your mileage in your running journal, or even in pen on the side of the shoe. To help you remember how old a shoe is, write the date on the tongue or the outsole.
Whenever you are involved in serious exercise, minor injuries are inevitable. You must do everything in your power to minimize them. Just wearing the proper shoes is one simple way to help you along.

Here is the good news: having some stomach fat doesn’t always indicate poor health. Usually having a “belly” is more of an indication that your body is distributing your weight unevenly. Here are some quick tips to help you lose stomach fat:
1. Eat a healthy diet that is free of saturated fats and processed food. Natural foods are low in calories and easier for the body to digest. Eating a healthy diet is the first step in getting rid of belly fat.
2. Exercise regularly. It is important to exercise your whole body. That said, here are a few exercises designed specifically to help you lose stomach fat:
Lunges
Lunges help your backside as well as your “front side.” Begin by standing tall with your hands on your hops and your feet a few inches apart. Tighten your stomach muscles but don’t arch your back. Beginning with your right leg, take a large step forward while lifting your left heel slightly but keeping the rest of your left foot on the floor. Make sure your toes and your knees are pointed forward.
While keeping your legs in this position, lower your upper body until your front knee forms as close to a ninety degree angle as you can get without hurting yourself. Your knee should be over your ankle but not over your shoelaces. Your goal is to line up your pelvis with your right knee.
While returning to an upright position, bring your left leg forward to meet your right leg and repeat the process using your left leg.
Squats
Squats can be done any where at any time. Here’s how to do them: start by standing upright. Your feet should be hip width apart. Your toes, knees and hips should form a straight line. Pull in your stomach muscles so that your belly button moves in toward your backbone and contract your abdominal muscles. Slowly bend your knees while keeping your upper body straight. The motion should feel like sitting down on a chair. You want to create ninety degree angles with your knees–or as close as you can get without hurting yourself. Your knees should stay behind your toes.
Hold this position for a single count and then slowly stand back up straight. When you stand back up take care to keep your weight on your heels or else you could do damage to your hips and knees. You should also take care not to lock your knees when you return to your standing position. Instead keep them bent a little bit. Don’t raise or lower yourself too quickly. Each direction should take about three counts.
A single set of squats involves between ten and fifteen individual squats. To see a significant difference in your stomach fat you need to do between one and three sets every day.
