May 2009 Events in Downtown Toronto

by · Leave a Comment

Now that the snow has melted, the golf clubs are, and the terraces are animated, it’s time to start planning your spring events. Winter sleep is finally over.

The City of Toronto has much to offer its residents. I want the many reasons why I think Toronto is providing a great city, and evidence of why we are sharing the best place to live.

The seasonal event started a few weeks ago, on 2 April with the official part of the new Frank Gehry designed the first general meeting. The AGO Massive Party was a resounding success with money for the gallery of the 1,600 people who were present increased. There were a number of bands of unique versions of art that reflect the theme of the 2009 mass uprising. It was a perfect mixture of business types from Bay St. Lawrence and the connected with the art.

There is another important fundraiser 30th April 2009, the innovative LG ball The ball is in the Science Centre in Ontario with a focus of intrigue and espionage instead. I am sure that every man will think in a Tux, they are as smooth as 007th

I do not believe that someone the opportunity to the great events in Toronto, so I asked to see a list of my picks for the month of May, miss, if you know something I missed please let me know and I will be happy to get them to the list to add.

Every month of May is Museum Month and additional benefits, the various museums and check their websites, enjoy

The ROM

The Campbell House

The Textile Museum

The Museum of Television

The Museum Redpath Sugars

The Gardiner Museum

The Art Gallery of Ontario

Another big event which will be in May, the entire contact, the contact is a photo exhibition, which uses unique spaces throughout the city, as the walls of the gallery. Most participants are local photographers such as Caley Taylor, but there are a growing number of international artists. The coordinators have a theme each year, 2009 thematic innovation.

The City of Toronto Festival of Architecture and Design is also held during the month of May there are guided tours, lectures, films and lectures, the remarkably different locations in Toronto.

The first weekend of May 1 to 3 Salon clothing. This is the place to really unique and interesting clothing and accessories from independent designers, artisans and shopkeepers. It is on all weekend at the Better Living Centre at Exhibition Place.

On Saturday, 9 May Mooredale House to celebrate their day festival of Mayfair in Rosedale Park Goes Hawaiian Mayfair this year, so make sure you get your coconuts and grass skirts. All funds hold Mooredale OP.

The Toronto Comic Arts Festival runs Saturday, May 9 and Sunday, May 10 The main venue is the Toronto Reference Library, just north of Yonge and Bloor, but there are many other events across Toronto from 2 May

On Sunday, May 10th, you better find a brunch, a flower shop, or at least a phone to Mother’s Day to celebrate. It is certainly one of the most important days in my calendar.

Monday, 11 May Casa Loma host the tie GTO Green fundraising event. Is an important event to raise funds for Toronto Parks and Trees Foundation to increase. The star guest is Sarah Harmer, she will be performing and speaking.

Date unofficial start of summer is the Victoria Day weekend, or, two Four weekend is the 15th May 18 May when you are not a lot to do in the garden or take the time and there are tons of things throughout the city to do. It is always a big fireworks at Ontario Place. I do not want to sell in the city, but I think long weekends at their best from one to five hours outside of Toronto, usually on a lake or a golf course.

If you’re a junkie or an architecture of those who can not drive by an open house sign without stopping the car Saturday, May 23 and Sunday are, 24 May, two great days this month. Doors Open Toronto comes with plenty of opportunity to clean all types of large buildings, we have to check in the city of Toronto.

I was not specific to show for this art, but the distillery Spring Art Show seems that it might be worthwhile to see a quick trip to 23 or 24 Mai This is a show based on the merchants and artists in the small enclave is made.

Another great activity to get you out of doors on 31 is a great progress, steps to cure cystic fibrosis. This is a fundraising walk on the Toronto Zoo instead.

Question by be13e@ymail.com: Does anybody know any hotels in Toronto ?
Does anybody know any hotels in Toronto that allows for a hotel party of 25-30 people?

Best answer:

Answer by deetrosa
almost any hotel would be happy to take a reservation for 25-30 people, but if you mean you want to party in the rooms, i don’t think any hotel would want that.

you could look into hotels that have meeting rooms/spaces that might allow you to have a party there, but otherwise don’t mention this when making the booking. Also, ask for group rates because a hotel should discount from the regular rate since you are giving them so much business.

as for hotel suggestions, there are hundreds in toronto, and i’m afraid you will have to do your own research to pick the bestone for your needs. i always start by using google maps and pick something i want to be near to, and then use then search for nearby hotels

good luck!

I will seek some more professional advice later but figured I would see what you have to say on here.
